Cursive is all rhythm and motion—bold reds and blacks dance across the canvas with gold accents that catch the light. The glossy, flowing marks move like handwriting, each stroke connected to the next in a continuous, almost musical progression.

I created this piece in 2008, and the name came naturally. The way the paint moves across the surface felt like cursive—fluid, rhythmic, intentional but loose. There’s an energy here that doesn’t sit still. It pulls your eye across the canvas the same way a well-written letter draws you from one word to the next.

This is one of those pieces where the name and the work are inseparable. Once I called it Cursive, nothing else made sense.
